Mt. Biking: Bedgebury Wind Direction: Wind Stength: Surf / Sea State: Air Temperature: 8 Sea Temperature: Weather: Max Speed: Distance Covered:
Got up early and went to Camber for this promised wind, and ended up having
a simple but enjoyable walk along the sands as nothing decent. Annoyingly,
the wind picked up as the tide started to approach the groynes. Grr.
So this afternoon headed to the Forestry Commission trails at Bedgebury on
the Kent/Sussex border. The afternoon started badly as it was a £5 parking
charge which, had I not driven 50 mins, would have made me turn around
muttering 'rip off'. But I paid my dues, and while I didn't get trails of
gold, at least the 13km 'singletrack' was an enjoyable if not very muddy
way to get out of breath over the course of 2 hours. Nothing too technical,
which suited me just fine. The autumn colours in the forest were stunning,
so all in all a good afternoon.
